Hi Friends -
There's been a good amount of housekeeping going on with the blog these last few days. I think as my AI-related writing increases - I have two blogs already written up that are pending - I was struggling with how it's all going to work together on both the main feed here and also the main, Looking for the Fig Tree newsletter. I don't want my friends getting my AI hysteria blogs when they really signed up for updates on things going on with our family.
So, there are now two separate newsletters from the site that you can sign up for:
- Looking for the Fig Tree - this newsletter will basically continue to be the best way to keep up to date on what's going on with our family, minus my thoughts on AI.
- Working in the Wilderness - this newsletter will cover my experiences using AI to make things and help solve people's problems. Expect these posts to be a bit more technical and in the weeds. This is where I'll also likely be writing about my developing thoughts on AI, faith, and spiritual formation.
Posts from both feeds will continue to appear in the main feed of the home page. All that said, please consider checking out my new, newsletter Working in the Wilderness.
We're in for some turbulent times ahead with AI and I would be happy to talk with others who are in it as well.
